Demolition Projects

Demolition for Children's Hospital

16th Avenue & Ursula Street, Fitzsimons Campus, Aurora

This project involved many components of services that Fiore & Sons, Inc. provides. All aspects had to come together in a timely manner in order to maintain the aggressive construction schedule. This project also included the demolition of Building 632 which was deemed structurally unsound for safe entry. Therefore, the asbestos abatement could not be completed. A variance was applied through the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment (CDPHE) Air Quality Control Division to perform an open air demolition with asbestos still remaining in the structure. Working closely with CDPHE and the abatement contractor, this 20,000 square foot 2-story building was safely demolished, transported and disposed of at a certified landfill. Each truck load of building debris, as well as, associated contaminated soil was double wrapped in 10 mil poly lining for safe transportation to a certified landfill.

Mobile Tool Demolition for Lowes at Westminster

5600 W, 88th Avenue, Westminster

Our work included: demolishing four levels of parking ramps, post-tensioned slab and beam repair, minor mechanical and electrical modifications, joint sealants, and underground utility relocation.
